Mediterranean cruises can be a life raft for the sinking dollar

The dollar is sinking like the Titanic. Faced with high prices in the Mediterranean, American travelers might cast about for an economic lifeboat. But as the dollar dips, the cost of food, lodging and transportation keeps rising.

To the rescue comes Cruise Lines International Association, which recommends taking a cruise so that you can use your ship not only as your lodging, but also as transportation between the continent's major cities.
