Holland America Line Mediterranean cruises for 2006

Holland America Line will have a record five ships making European cruises in 2006 and a full summer of Mediterranean cruises aboard the new ms Noordam. 27 unique itineraries will sail with a special focus on sailing the Mediterranean for the entire summer. They've added new ports and more time in ports including late departures and overnights. Holland America will make a total of 55 cruises, ranging from 10- to 35-day duration in the spring to fall of 2006.

Fourteen new ports of call include Libya, Alicante and Palomos, and northern Turkey. Holland America Line will feature one- to two-night stays in Athens, Istanbul, Marseille, and Venice; and extended evening stays for enjoying night-life in lively ports such as Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Santorini.

The 5 ships on European and Mediterranean routes will be the intimate 793-guest ms Prinsendam (designed for longer cruises); the new 1,848-guest Noordam (with open, airy spaces); the twin flagships ms Rotterdam and ms Amsterdam; and the five-star 1,258-guest
ms Maasdam.
